Peter Nashel composed an incredible score for the new film from Neon: I, Tonya.

Directed by Craig Gillespie and starring Margot Robbie, the movie is based on the Tonya Harding Olympic figure skating scandal that rocked the nation. It premiered to rave reviews at the Toronto Film Festival, and has already been nominated for 3 Golden Globes.

So far it’s won 1 Golden Globe and is up for 3 Academy Awards! The original sound track is now available on iTunes, with Peter’s music leading the download count.

Working closely with our friends at adam&eve, duotone supervised the music for this exciting new campaign from Samsung, featuring their new FlexWash washing machine.

The spot captures the everyday joys of a (real life) family, and Samsung was looking for a song to highlight the quotidian love expressed in the film. We thought “Just Another Day” from Lady Gaga’s latest album was perfect, and were able to leverage our label connections to get the license done smoothly and quickly. We think the song really ties the spot together in a nice way, and we were glad to be a part of such a quietly profound piece of advertising.

duotone was psyched to work closely with Cycle to score this subtle yet powerful ad for Hennessy, featuring the indomitable Canelo Álvarez.

The spot features a moving fingerpicked acoustic guitar, that morphs into a powerful score as we watch Canelo train intently for his next bout. The track guides the beautifully shot film, and underlines the dedication that Hennessy implores with “Never Stop. Never Settle.”

Even an asshole can save a life…

And in this new Donate Life film with The Martin Agency, we learn just how easy it is for any asshole to donate their organs and do a little good.

The film features a moving rearrangement of Coldplay’s “Fix You” by duotone’s own Civil Brother, and a masterful mix by duotone audio post. And the star power doesn’t end there… It features Thomas Jane in the title role, and VO by the indomitable Will Arnett.

We were incredibly honored to be a part of this moving, funny, and important campaign.
